About Me

About Me

I’ve always been an academic at heart. As a child, I read encyclopedias for fun. As an adolescent, I could not wait to go to college. My work now blends psychology, play theory, culture, and storytelling into a single pursuit: understanding the need for play in our continued development, long after childhood.

Work Experience

 Experience

Founder & Creative Director
Rainbear Kindness Club (2022 – Present)

I built Rainbear Kindness Club as a transmedia learning experiment,  part game, part narrative, part invitation to play. It combines behavioral science, game design, and storytelling to help adults rediscover curiosity and encourage fluid intelligence. Every project I create explores how imagination, empathy, and autonomy fuel both personal growth and community connection.

Office Manager
Fidelity Electric, San Diego, CA (2011 – 2014)

I managed nearly every aspect of a small electrical contracting business: project coordination, hiring and training, and invoicing. The job demanded creative problem-solving, adaptability, and diplomacy.

Freelance Writer
Sunrise After-School Program (mid-2000s)

Under the pen name Angela Feinstein, I wrote short fiction pieces for inner-city literacy programs. Micro fiction of 200 to 500-word stories meant to spark empathy and imagination. It was a small project with a big emotional return, allowing training in emotional intelligence for children who might not have access to it elsewhere.

Factory & Early Employment
Minnesota (1994 – 2003)

Before college, I worked in manufacturing at Le Sueur Foundry and ADC Telecom while raising two young children. Those years taught me what persistence and struggle really looked like.

CNA - Thousand Oaks
Texas (1992 – 1994)

At seventeen, I became a certified nursing assistant. The work was physical and emotional: bathing, feeding, taking vitals, and keeping patients comfortable. It was a look into aging and an understanding that we are our whole existence. At 84 we are still 23, we are still 12.  This experience left a mark that still shapes how I view aging.
